Language Training
While many clients will exit language training when classes end March 31, 2025, organizations that have regularly-scheduled courses or semesters that extend beyond March 31 may allow clients to finish the course, or continue up to June 30, 2025, whichever comes first. Clients must be enrolled and have begun attending classes before March 31, 2025.
Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS)
All newcomer students, regardless of immigration status, and their parents/guardians can be served as part of SWIS, in recognition of the in-kind contributions made by schools and other partners in support of this service. As standard practice for SWIS, only clients that are eligible as per section 3.8 of the Settlement Program Terms and Conditions should be entered into iCARE [це державна система обліку клієнтів держпрограм - UkrTO]. Other clients may be reported in the Annual Report on Project Implementation and Outcomes (ARPIO).
Home Instruction For Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY)
As of March 31, 2025, CUAET holders, Ukrainian nationals with temporary resident status in Canada, and their dependents will no longer be eligible for IRCC funded settlement services, which includes HIPPY programming. Some recipients may choose to continue to serve applicable HIPPY clients through other sources of funding.
